PREVENTION & CURE

ADVANCING TECHNOLOGY TO SAFELY DEAL WITH ELECTRIC VEHICLE EMERGENCIES

The latest edition of Go Auto News features two new products that are designed to mitigate emergency rescue scenarios in electric vehicles. The Bridgehill car fire blanket, proudly distributed by PT Rescue, is quickly becoming recognised as the leading solution to combat electric vehicle fires, and a must-have staple in the emergency response kits of fire & emergency services units, car dealerships and service centres, vehicle ferry operators and environments with increasing demand for electric vehicles.

With the unique challenges of responding to battery fires associated with electric vehicles, the Bridgehill car fire blanket represents a proven solution to contain EV fires in seconds, and now there is a new product available in Australia and New Zealand to aid in the prevention of harm from electric vehicle emergencies.  There are a number of safety concerns surrounding the unexpected movement of an EV that is has been involved in an accident, or where technicians are working on a vehicle.  which has lead to the development of the EV Emergency Plug, a tool that disables the vehicle and creates a safer working environment, and the latest addition to the PT Rescue portfolio.  The specially designed plug is simply inserted into the vehicle charging point and disables the drive system and battery to allow safer access to the vehicle, and is being regarded as a game changer in risk mitigation and prevention by emergency services and automotive groups throughout Australia and the world.
